Masks have been an everyday thing in Japan. People wear them for different purposes, for protection from allergies and people who are sick or to prevent others to catch what you have. We have made this mask with the intention of catching droplets and to prevent the spread of disease and viruses. It also serves as a reminder to not touch your face.

We use 100% cotton canvas for the liner and outer shell. The masks are made from Japanese gauze liner and traditionally dyed cotton canvas using natural materials from Kyoto. The dye process is all by artisan hands with natural resources(Sunshine, wind, river water, and plants), done in utmost eco-friendly methods in the mountains of Kyoto, Japan.

The mask sits comfortably around the ears to allow it to be worn with wider range or hairstyles, hats, and clothes. The mask can be configured to fit overhead. The liner is split to allow a filter/tissue/towel to be placed in-between the outer and inner shell. It comes in a set of two, so you always have one to wear while one is being washed.

This mask is not intended to substitute medical grade masks.

Recommended to hand wash on cold, and hang to dry.
(Naturally dyed fabric may bleed in hot water)

About the fabric:
DoFu(土布)-Japanese DoFu fabric is pure cotton fabric made with hand loom. It holds the earthy natural texture of cotton material. Rougher weave, strong, and full of warm texture.
Shark Cotton-Japanese cotton fabric with tight weave. It is soft and light with a faint sheen from the tight weaving. Even texture overall. Perfect for warmer weather.
